Tomato and Mozzarella Carpaccio with Balsamic Vinaigrette
INGREDIENTS
4 large ripe tomatoes
2 mozzarella balls
1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
PREPARATION
Prepare the Tomatoes and Mozzarella: Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin rounds and arrange them alternately on a large serving platter.
Prepare the Vinaigrette: In a small bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Assemble the Salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the tomato and mozzarella slices. Sprinkle with freshly chopped basil.
Serve: Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve as an appetizer or a side dish. Enjoy!
